Since the fires on the West Pier and the structure becoming more open, the birds are now seen on the Palace Pier (Brighton pier for non-locals).

Starling numbers increase when very cold weather hits North eastern Europe as most of the birds are from Germany, Poland and eastern parts of Russia.
